The third adventure, By Indelicate Means, returns us to The City where we become entangled in the hunt for multiple villains. By 1933 the Great Depression has taken firm hold and scarcity prevails. Even small children are caught in the wringer of poverty. Through it all, Evelyn, Flora, Jaing, and even Spritz, manage to maintain a happy and loving home despite having to face beans for supper far too often.

Inspector Larsen seeks their assistance in the search for an evil kidnapper, who turns out to be a villain we’ve met before. This time the key to solving the mystery involves finding the weapon used to bludgeon the first victim.
