2022 Killer Nashville Claymore Award Finalists –
Fingers crossed this recognition will result in some interest from agents and publishers. I can’t show you the cover here because there is no cover yet, so instead here is the very beginning of this mystery that takes place in San Francisco in 1928:
Chapter One
Evelyn watched as Flora moved stealthily to their parlor window and peered through the lace sheers.
“There’s an evil-looking man sneaking near the Coopers’ house,” Flora said. “He’s rummaging through their garbage bins in a most disgusting manner.”
“Oh?” Evelyn said, not rising from her chair nor looking up from the pages before her. For a moment Evelyn wondered how a person might root through garbage bins in anything other than a disgusting manner, then let the question go. “I suppose as long as he stays out there we needn’t be concerned.”…
…and the suspense ramps up from there. I can hardly wait to share the whole story with you. Thank you as always for your support.
Cherie
