Rain and Wind and Good Reads
Greetings from soggy central California! And what a spring it has been. I was born, raised, and have lived nearly all my life in this state, and am willing to risk the cliche to say, I have never seen wind and rain like this! Of course in the 50s, the state would periodically go underwater. Then all the dams were built and we had a long stretch of perceived safety. Now the concrete in the dams is nearing the end of its useful life. Yes, it’s true, even concrete has a lifespan. We’re looking at submerging again, only now there are ten times as many people here as there were then.
None of this means I’ve stopped working, although long power outages and mini-backyard tornadoes have slowed me down a bit. The good news is, launch of Deadly Disguise, the fourth in the Estela Nogales Mystery series is scheduled for no later than mid-March, so you’ll soon have something new to read during the long rainy days. You will be the first to know when it goes on sale, and in the meantime, have a sneak peek at the cover below.
Also note Todd Borg’s newest mystery, featured to the right. As you know, Todd is one of my favorite independent authors, and he likes the Estela Nogales series too! Todd will be honored as Toastmaster in March 2018 at the Left Coast Crime conference in Reno. Left Coast Crime is a conference for readers and fans who love mysteries, and is open for anyone to attend. You might meet some of your favorite authors there!
Thank you again for your continuing support!
Can hardly wait for March! Also I love the cover. Great
Thank you! We really struggled with that one. Glad you like it.
