Does This Table Make Me Look Big?
Yes, it’s true! The dogs and I adopted a kitten a while back. She immediately took over her rightful place as the leader of the pack and beats the rest of us up regularly just to keep us in our places. Her favorite activity is pouncing onto Sky’s back, then whapping the poor dog’s ears mercilessly as she rides through the house. Her name is Patience, but not because she’s got any. She’s convinced she can do anything a dog can do, so she plays “fetch” with an aluminum foil ball, does agility – two jumps and a table, and chases the Chuck-It ball with the dogs in the backyard when allowed out. She’s good company for me while I write, and listens to every word of every book during the editing process. Also, she facilitates a daily moment of Zen each morning when I release her from the laundry room with a “Good morning, Patience.” It is unlikely that Patience will be featured in any upcoming mystery, as, unlike some of your more popular animal mystery authors, I have a hard time imagining how a cat might solve a murder mystery. Easier to imagine her as the villain. In fact, she’s giving me one of those looks right now…
This month’s favorite independently published mystery is one by Todd Borg. His entertaining stories all take place at Lake Tahoe and feature Spot, a massive great dane.
Fire at Will’s is on the shelves now at Face in a Book the delightful independent bookstore in El Dorado Hills, California. Kindle version is also on sale at Amazon for a limited time at $1.99. What crazy things does your cat do?
just wanted to say Hi. Looks like you are doing wonderfully. I am happy for you. I am spending more time in San Felipe. Ray died 12/31/15. He had been in an Alzheimers home for the last two years.
Hi Billie! So glad to hear from you. I got a message that someone in Mexico opened my email about Missing Mom, and I couldn’t imagine who that would be. It was you! Hope you are happy and healthy.
